QUALITY POLICY
Eltaş Transformer operates its facilities located in the Çiğli Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone and the Aliağa Organized Industrial Zone, focusing on the design, production, customs, foreign trade, logistics, management, and administrative organization of Oil and Dry Type Power and Distribution Transformers to meet the needs and expectations of domestic and international customers and stakeholders.
As the Eltaş family, in line with our motto “The Power Created by Quality,” we design, produce, and provide after-sales service for safe and reliable products that meet the specific demands of our customers, requiring high-quality and specialized engineering solutions.
In the context of our Quality Policy;
• Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System to enhance our quality performance in all processes,
• Fulfilling all legal and other obligations, both nationally and internationally,
• Ensuring unconditional customer satisfaction in the quality of products and services, including after-sales support,
• Measuring customer satisfaction, considering feedback, and improving our business processes to enhance customer satisfaction,
• Organizing training programs to raise quality awareness and develop the skills of our employees,
• Encouraging innovative approaches to increase efficiency by reviewing our business processes with a risk and opportunity assessment perspective,
• Continuously improving and enhancing the processes that affect our company’s goals and product quality,
• Ensuring full participation of employees in achieving these goals,
• Operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
As Eltaş Transformer, we are committed to the principles of corporate governance and adopt a sustainability oriented approach that forms the basis of our activities. The environmental impacts of our operations, as well as the occupational health and safety of our employees and the environmental impacts of our suppliers, are among the priority issues within our organization. We support and raise awareness among our suppliers to minimize their environmental impacts. Accordingly, we identify and assess hazards, risks, opportunities, and environmental impacts across our organization, including our suppliers, and carry out our activities effectively.
This Environmental Policy applies to Eltaş Transformatör San. ve Tic. A.Ş. and all legal entities, both domestic and international. It covers all employees, managers, suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
Eltaş Transformatör San. ve Tic. A.Ş. commits to the following:
• Ensure continuous improvement and enhancement by complying with all legal requirements related to environmental aspects as well as customer requirements.
• Conduct activities in compliance with relevant standards, environmental legislation, and legal regulations,
• Reduce gross Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions,
• Monitor water consumption across all production sites and invest in processes that enable more efficient water recycling,
• Recycle materials wherever applicable, including all production areas and offices,
• Consider the entire product life cycle at all design stages in order to minimize energy consumption and waste emissions,
• Design safe and environmentally friendly products to ensure customer health and safety,
• Reduce hazardous waste arising from operations by using environmentally friendly input materials in all processes,
• Reduce water consumption by investing in water-saving machinery and equipment,
• Reduce CO₂ emissions arising during transformer use at the design stage,
• Protect natural resources, minimize energy and water usage, and benefit from renewable energy sources by utilizing the best available technologies in the fight against climate change.
• Ensure that our employees and suppliers take environmental considerations into account in their investment and purchasing decisions.
• Continuously improve our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System to enhance our environmental performance.
• Raise awareness and ensure the participation of all employees, suppliers, and the public on our environmental responsibilities.
• Maintain constant communication with suppliers and customers to improve the environmental impact of our products.
• Reduce waste resulting from production, transportation, storage, operation, and maintenance activities by evaluating recycling and reuse alternatives.
• Develop eco-friendly products and practices to minimize the emission of micro-pollutants from our products.
• Seek new opportunities to protect forests, fertile soils, and biodiversity while conducting our commercial activities.
• As part of the circular economy, research and develop programs that promote the conservation of natural resources through recovery, recycling, and other appropriate methods.
• Conduct audits to ensure environmental compliance and monitor the processes of our suppliers, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Review our goals and commitments annually and regularly report on our environmental performance.
Our commitments will be achieved through specific targets:
• Reduce energy consumption across all production areas by 10% by 2030(Baseline of the year 2024),
• Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 (Baseline of the year 2024),
• Achieve carbon neutrality by 2050,
• Ensure the implementation of recycling activities in all production and office areas by 2027.
A Sustainability Committee has been established by top management. In each business unit and location, a designated environmental manager will oversee the implementation of this policy.
This policy is regularly updated by the Sustainability Committee, and all changes are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Eltaş Transformer recognizes human beings as its most valuable asset in accordance with its corporate objectives and its relations with all stakeholders and adopts the creation of a safer and healthier working environment as its primary business goal.
In the context of our Occupational Health and Safety Policy;
• Closely monitoring and complying with all national regulations related to Occupational Health and Safety,
• Viewing customer expectations on this issue as opportunities for improvement and implementing them,
• Conducting Occupational Health and Safety activities in accordance with internationally accepted management system standards,
• Providing safe and healthy working conditions to prevent injuries and deterioration of health during work activities,
• Determining and reducing Occupational Health and Safety risks that may arise during operations and eliminating hazards,
• Through ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System efforts, ensuring that protective measures are taken with the participation of all employees and striving to eliminate hazards at their source,
• Periodically reviewing the management system and practices to ensure continuous improvement,
• Organizing training programs to ensure all employees are aware of their individual responsibilities on the subject,
• Ensuring the participation of employees in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, either through employee representatives or directly,
• We are committed to contributing to the improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety practices of our suppliers.
